In this 3rd installment of ART DIRECTION SECRETS TO MAKE YOUR PORTRAITS STAND OUT I cover line quality. It's a topic often overlooked that brings many benefits to the impact of your drawing on the page such as depth, emotion, creating a focus and style. With a little attention, you can quickly master this skill and target the use of it in your portraits to make them stand out above the rest.

This is the second lesson in a series on how to make your portraits stand out and get attention. In this video, you will discover how our eyes function to take in information around us. Because the eye jumps around you can use that information to think of your portrait more like a storyboard which will create movement and interest for your viewers. Remember, you are the art director and that means you have total control over what your viewers see and to some extent what they experience when looking at your art.

The 3 Sided Head is about designing the head in a way that gets it on the page fast and has visual power and interest to the viewer. It will definitely help your drawing workflow. It's a no brainer so check it out :)

In this video I will offer some great creative tips on overcoming art block while demonstrating again why ArtRage 6 Studio Pro is so cool. I'll demo the Color Picker and the Symmetry Tool which is easier to set up than any other program I have used this feature with, and an amazing tool for iterative concepting and imaginative drawing.
This video is about automatic drawing, a technique from Tim Gula (http://tinyurl.com/y6j3hmr3I) learned about from a recent Proko video. TIm worked with the great comic book artist Mobius and learned the technique from him over his shoulder. It's great for clearing your mind to attain a more relaxed state. From there your childlike wonder and creativity begin to emerge again. You can check out Proko's video here: https://www.youtube.com/user/ProkoTV

Before you draw or render a thing with your illustrations and portraits consider injecting these 2 simple design ideas to streamline your workflow and reduce your workload. It covers the idea that if you can approach your drawing from a design problem first instead of a drawing/rendering problem then you will greatly decrease the amount of work you have to do.
